HOP SHAKER SAVES TIME AND PREVENTS MALFUNCTIONS IN THE BREWING PROCESS

Traditional craftsmanship and 100 per cent pure natural ingredients form the basis of Westmalle Trappist beers. The brewery was completely modernised in 2016, but brewing is done with the greatest care and passion according to the original recipe.

Hop flowers make Westmalle’s Trappist beers unique, but hop flowers are more difficult to process than pressed hop grains used by most major brewers. The hop flowers are cleaned manually based on eye inspection, but nowadays with the help of a specially developed hop shaker.
