Chester van Sörnsen de Koste is back in the old nest and he feels familiar, as he puts it. “Actually, I’m not back in the old nest because when I flew away, we were still at De Zilverhoek and now we’re in this beautiful building on Warwickstraat.”
As mentioned, he previously worked at FoodeQ. “As a jack of all trades I supported all departments as a kind of all-round player from 2014 to 2019. I’m curious and gained a lot of knowledge during that time.” However, he eventually decided to leave. “Mainly because of the distance, as I was living in Spijkenisse at the time. It was quite a bit of commuting every day and I wanted to get into sales, which simply wasn’t an option here back then. Still, I always kept an eye on FoodeQ through social media and saw the impressive projects coming along. So, I was pleasantly surprised when Marinus de Bruijn reached out to me and asked if I wanted to come back. The distance was no longer an issue because we had moved to Nieuw-Vossemeer since it’s a wonderful environment for our family with two children. So, there were plenty of reasons to talk to Marinus and we quickly reached an agreement. It’s a great team and I still knew a lot of people from the past, which makes it even more enjoyable. I actually helped set up the Spare Parts & Services department back in the day. The department has grown and professionalized, and it’s up to me, as an account manager, to further expand it. Everything we deliver is of top quality, but to keep it in top condition it’s important to make provisions and that’s what I’m happy to discuss with our customers. So, give me a call to set up a meeting or send an email.” chester@foodeq.nl
