As a supplier of highly reliable equipment for the food processing industry, we understand the significant stakes involved. A production line that is idle is costly. That’s why we provide not only the best equipment but also all the necessary support and spare parts to keep everything in top condition. It may require a shift in thinking, but it’s not unusual to purchase a new machine (line) with a stock of spare parts included. “When you buy an expensive car, you essentially do the same. It usually comes with a spare tire. You can view it the same way. It’s not that things will break down all the time, but when it’s needed it’s great to be able to continue right away,” argues Mark Leenders from the spare parts department.
“Quick and effective problem-solving requires specialised knowledge and the right materials,” explains Chester van Sörnsen de Koste, account manager for spare parts and service. “That’s why it’s beneficial to make provisions for the availability of critical components. This enhances the effectiveness of our service specialists and increases the uptime of your machinery.” Never running out of parts prevents unnecessary downtime. Having your own stock of spare parts is highly recommended, especially for international clients. “We usually have an engineer flown in quickly, but it’s very handy if the spare parts are already on-site as we can respond much faster.” This applies not only to our overseas customers but also shortens repair times closer to home. This way, we ensure your production process experiences minimal disruption from a breakdown or (scheduled) maintenance or modification work.
Mark Leenders: “You can trust that at FoodeQ we keep the most crucial spare parts for the machines we design in stock as standard. These spare parts are used to fulfill service and warranty obligations. In some cases, customers also purchase these parts for refurbishment and revitalisation work. But ideally, we want to go a step further.” We are currently putting the finishing touches on a brochure – in three languages – to emphasise the importance of spare parts. You don’t have to wait for that brochure; we are already happy to discuss which critical spare parts are desirable for your situation and should ideally be in stock at your location.
