Robert van Domburg has been the CEO of FoodeQ since December 1, 2025. “A new challenge for me and a new role for FoodeQ,” he explains. “This wonderful company has grown, under the inspiring leadership of Marinus de Bruijn and Jaco van der Jagt, into a serious global player in the field of vibratory systems and specialised food processing equipment. I consider it an honor and am extremely excited to further build on this success.”
This development has created room for Jaco van der Jagt to fully focus on engineering and product development, while Marinus de Bruijn can dedicate his time to commercial activities and relationship management. In turn, I focus on optimising the organisation, strategy and growth. In this, change management and collaboration within the group and with partners are key.
Robert has extensive experience in machine building and international B2B projects. He studied Technical Computer Science and later Real-Time Systems, and worked for many years as a Software Engineer, Project Manager and later also as Business Unit Manager at Getronics. After that, he held various technical management positions at companies including Vanderlande, CSi Industries, Moba and Tanis, where he became familiar with FoodeQ.
After many years in interim roles, he wanted to become part of a team again and build a business with a long-term vision. “Everything now comes together in this new role. FoodeQ suits me perfectly in terms of size, culture and type of people. In my first weeks here, I have experienced that it truly is a very close-knit team: technically passionate professionals who are eager to move forward. I am convinced that together we are capable of achieving great things. We will grow on all fronts. FoodeQ Processing is gaining market share, and in the field of vibratory technology I am aiming to double our business over the next three years.”
“Sticomax provides us with a complementary group of specialists. In a world of standardisation, it is precisely specialists who deliver unique, creative and innovative solutions that only emerge when you truly zoom in on the customer’s needs. Within the group, we often serve the same clients, and the synergy is clearly tangible. The whole world is our market: often close to home, but especially across borders there are opportunities. On average, we Westerners eat 10 kilos of French fries per person per year, while in Asia this is barely half a kilo. This represents a significant growth market, and it is no coincidence that we are currently delivering major projects there.”
“I would like to hear from customers and partners what they need now and in the future, so we can act on it. Would you like to sit down with me? Please send an email to r.vandomburg@foodeq.nl.”
